Healthy Tips for Memorial Day
Here are healthy tips as you prepare for your Memorial Day celebration:
Don’t Run on Empty
If you’re attending a party or BBQ this holiday, have a snack before you attend. This will help curb your appetite and prevent you from overindulging in party foods.
Find Fun Ways to Hydrate
Make sure that you are have fun drinks such as infused water to prevent dehydration. You can sip infused water during the entire party to curb hunger.
Create Tasty Substitutes
Swap the traditional snacks and sides for healthy options. Instead of chips use fresh veggies and dip as a side dish. Yogurt is a tasty substitute for ice cream. Fresh fruit salad can satisfy your sweet tooth in place of candy.
Add Activities to Your Party
Warm weather is a great opportunity to have fun outdoors. During your party commit to participating in physical activities such as, a game of Frisbee®, volleyball, race, throwing a ball, taking a walk etc.
