Conquer Mount Denali

Begin your journey to conquer Mount Denali, ascending its 20,000-foot peak by accumulating 150 minutes of exercise each week. For every 150 minutes completed, you gain an elevation of 5,000 feet. Remember to track your exercise minutes at the Fitness Desk, and as you reach each 5,000-foot milestone, you will ascend to a new camp on the mountain.

How Do I Register?

You can register at the Member Services desk or via your Member Self-Service account through the Center mobile app or on our website. After registration, you should visit the Fitness Desk to include your name on the tracking form and receive a geotag for display. Please see our step-by-step instructions for Member Self-Service registration below:

  • Step 1: Log in to your member account. Under My Upcoming Courses/Events, select Courses/Events Schedule.
  • Step 2: Under Select Month, select September.
  • Step 3: Select Reach the Peak Challenge 2025.
  • Step 4: A Reach the Peak Challenge 2025 dialog box displays. Select Sign Up.
  • Step 5: A rate screen displays, confirming this course as free. Select Continue.
  • Step 6: A Success screen displays. Select OK.

You will receive an enrollment email confirmation via your on-record email address. Please contact us with any member login questions.

Is There a Deadline to Register?

You can register at any time but must accumulate enough minutes to reach each camp by Sunday each week to be eligible for the weekly drawing on Monday. For example, if you register at the beginning of week two, you will need to accumulate 300 minutes in that week to be eligible for the week two drawing.

When Does Each Week Kick Off?

  • Week 1: Monday September 1 – Sunday, September 7
  • Week 2: Monday, September 8 – Sunday, September 14
  • Week 3: Monday, September 15 – Sunday, September 21
  • Week 4: Monday, September 22 – Tuesday, September 30 (Includes two bonus days to accumulate more minutes and finish strong!)

Will Workout Minutes Be Cumulative?

Yes, workout minutes are cumulative each week. If you do not reach the required minutes in week one, you can catch up in week two and still be eligible for the prize.

How Will Workout Minutes Be Tracked?

You should visit the Fitness Desk and update the tracking form each week before closing time on Sunday to be eligible for the prize drawing on Monday.

What is the Bonus Boost?

The bonus boost awards you double workout minutes for participating in classes within the Move app’s Reach the Peak Challenge tile. You should log these double workout minutes on the tracker, just like any other workout.

Will There Be an Interactive Display?

Yes, you will be invited to move yourself up to different camp levels once you achieve the goal minutes. Assistance from the fitness team will be available at the Fitness Desk.

When Will the Weekly Drawings Be Held?

Each drawing will be held by the end of the day on Monday following the week’s conclusion. (Example: Drawing for week 1 will be on Monday, September 8) Winners will be contacted each week.

How Many Winners Will Be Selected?

Three winners will be selected each week to win a prize, except for the final week. In the final week, all participants who reach the summit (20,000 ft) will receive a Reach the Peak Challenge T-shirt. *While supplies last.
